Is it truly me? Sitting down here and watching Playhouse Disney?
.... Is that what motherhood does to you? If u see me now, u wont believe it. I am constantly shouting 'o toodles!!' at my baby trying to get her to laugh, and for some reason, she always looks back at me with this confused look. I imagine she's thinking:- ' you look so ridiculous mum! Get here and gimme food!'
Ok, so u get the gist of the matter:- There is a minibim in the house!! YAY!! Glory be to God!.
You know I have always shown and declared my love for the Lord and now, I will boldly declare it again, that Jesus is worthy to be praised!. He is an awesome God.
Actually, I considered callling her miniChinese eyes, because, THEY SAY she looks so much like her dad, but it was just a long name! Lol.. So minibim it is, besides, I truly believe that she will eventually look like me..
Ko funny o, the amount of people that look at her and go... Aww, she's soo pretty, she looks like her dad!! ME NKO?? Is her daddy pretty? Are men pretty??! what of me that carried her for 9 whole months!! NINE!!!? Eesssh! Anyway, no need to vex too much, for she has my dimples!
Having a baby is life changing o!
Anyway sha, when minibim was a little over three months, I went to church for midweek service, so, after the service, people rallied round to congratulate me officially, as it was my first time of bringing minibim to church.
A certain choirwoman and another choir man ran up to me, excitedly. The woman, with a truly happy look on her face gushes;
'Sis Bimbylads... Ah... This is your baby, congratulations ooo--God is goood o!!!!'
I smile and say thanks, while minibim looks on amused.
But, this sister did not return to her seat, rather to my surprise, she nudges the choir man next to her and whispers aggressively:
' see, i tol you! I tol you she don born, you dey argue with me!'.
Assuming they were speaking about me, I looked at the woman, who offered an embarrassed and apologetic smile as she explained:-
'Na baba choir o! ( referring to the man standing next to her, who also nods in acknowledgement), we dey argue... Because, when we saw you last week, with your Big tummy, we just dey quesion whether you don born or not..'
She then stares at the man sternly, 'Babachoir say you never born, but see now... See! You don born. I correct!' she smugly added.
I was gobsmacked! Baba say I never born ke?!
Eehhhh!! My baby is 3 MONTHS OLD!! My baby can laugh and pinch you, and you people are arguing whether sister bimbylads don born or not? Could it be, could it possibly really be, that my tummy had not reduced since I delivered?!!
Because if you had seen me when I was pregnant... Chai, I thought I was carrying two twins!! lol... So for this sister and brother to think that I hadn't delivered?!!
I declared war ni o.. Sharp sharp, I began to walk regularly and try to exercise...I no join gym jare, the phobia never go.
Note the word try... Yesterday, I successfully did 28 sit ups!! Wetin? No dey look me like 28!?... How many you fit do?
I even bought skipping rope.
Minibim loves to see me skip, but after I almost lost my front teeth, trying to skip in the house, I packed it up- another story for another day.
Anyway, das why I disappeared o!
But thank God, I am back, my both blogs may be random, but, I am here...
And for those who did not give up on me, and came back to always check on me, THANK you!
How una dey?
